Stars, Stripes, and Small Town Sparkle
We all carry expectations around holidays. Growing up, my Fourth of July meant fireflies, fireworks, and my dad making way too much popcorn with a criminal amount of salt. These days, it looks a little different, but I’m still chasing that same nostalgia.
The Sandlot nailed that feeling best; the boys only played one night game a year, lit by nothing but fireworks overhead. It was pure summer magic.
But if your Fourth doesn’t look like a scene from The Sandlot, are you doing it wrong? Absolutely not.

Ice Cream Social & Community Band Concert
