Farmington’s March Madness Mixer!
Sip, snack, and cheer at the 14th Annual Wine, Beer & Spirits Tasting on Friday, March 27, 6–9 PM at the Farmington Polo Club. Enjoy 75+ drinks, small bites, raffle prizes, and March Madness on the big screen, all in support of local families and programs. Tickets are $50: FarmCommChest.org

Hop to It! Easter Egg Hunts Around the Valley
Easter egg hunts are a fascinating study in human nature. They start with pastel cardigans and grandmotherly advice about sharing, but the second that invisible whistle blows? Pure chaos.
Watching toddlers wobble-sprint with terrifying focus while big kids fan out like tactical operatives is basically live entertainment. Growing up, my cousins and I had one hunt, despite our large age differences. Our parents weren't running it twice, so it was every kid for themselves. The holy grail was the "name egg" stuffed with cold hard cash. I like to think I earned that money through sheer cardio and character building determination.
If you’re looking to recreate that spring magic (or just want to watch the drama unfold on someone else’s lawn), here is where to find the best egg hunts across the Valley:
Free Community Breakfast with the Easter Bunny & Egg Hunt
Sat, March 28 | 9 - 11 AM | Memorial United Methodist Church Avon
Families are invited to enjoy a free community breakfast before jumping into crafts, cookie decorating, and photos with the Easter Bunny (bring your own camera!). The egg hunt kicks off at 10:30 AM and is open to children of all ages.

Nonperishable food donations encouraged to support the church’s 24/7 community food pantry
Farmington’s 48th Annual Spring Celebration
Sat, Mar 28 | 10 AM - 1 PM | Farmington Polo Club
This is less “quick egg dash” and more “make a morning of it.” All proceeds benefit the Farmington Food Pantry.
$10 per car
10:00 AM — Ages 0–2 (Bunny Trail), 11:00 AM — Ages 3–5 Egg Hunt, 12:00 PM — Ages 6–10 Egg Hunt
Includes food trucks, bunny photos , Miss Connecticut USA & Miss Teen USA appearances, entertainment, vendors, ponies, and Touch-a-truck
St. Matthew’s Community Easter Egg Hunt
Sat, Mar 28 | 10 AM | St. Matthew Lutheran Church Avon
Younger kids (PreK and under) get their own designated hunting space, while the big kids get free rein of the church. There’s also face painting, games, treats, and a visit from the Easter Bunny to round things out.

Shop Hop with the Easter Bunny
Sat, March 28 | 10:30 AM–12:00 PM | The Shops at Farmington Valley
Families will “hop” between participating shops collecting sweet treats, surprises, and seasonal fun along the way. Plus a visit with the Easter Bunny.

Proceeds benefit OAH Strides

Simsbury Flashlight Egg Hunt
Thu, Apr 2 | 6:30–8:30 PM | Simsbury High School
Kids will hunt in the dark using flashlights or headlamps (don’t forget one), with staggered start times.

7:15 PM — Ages 2–5, 8:05 PM — Ages 6–12
Bring your own flashlight + basket
Story time, music, and Bunny photos as well
Note: Location moved to Simsbury High School this year due to construction
Moscarillo’s Easter Egg Hunt
Fri, Apr 3 | 10 AM or 1 PM | Moscarillo’s Garden Center
Held on the front lawn, this is their fourth annual hunt.
Tickets must be purchased in advance - $10 per child
Festive egg bags provided
Eggs sourced from Sunny Bunny Easter Eggs, supporting employment for individuals with developmental disabilities
Noah Webster House Easter Egg Hunt
Sat, Apr 4 | 10 AM - 2 PM | Noah Webster House
The egg hunt begins promptly at 10:00 AM, and once the eggs are gone, they’re gone.
Children: $10, Adults: Free (limit 2 adults per child)

West Hartford’s Springtime Egg Hunt
Sat, April 4 | Ages 1–3: 12:00–12:45 PM | Ages 4–6: 1:00–1:45 PM | Elmwood Community Center
A classic town-run egg hunt with arts & crafts and photo ops with the Springtime Bunny.
